Join the City of Longmont Sustainability Program in creating a sustainable Juneteenth! The Longmont Sustainability Plan, adopted in 2016, is a roadmap to achieve the vision of becoming an engaged community that promotes environmental stewardship, economic vitality, and social equity to create a sustainable and thriving future for all. In short, sustainable solutions help create healthy people and a healthy economy on a healthy planet. We are excited that for years, Longmont Juneteenth has strived to be a zero waste event. At the Sustainability Tent, you also have the opportunity to:
- Bringing a refillable water bottle. Water stations will be available.
- Know where to throw your waste! Whether it is recycling, compost, or trash. Look for Eco-Cycle volunteers at the event to help figure out which bin to use or visit our Waste Services Website for more information.
